"Death as a Rite of Passage" with Kitty Edwards This interview with Kitty Edwards will focus on her work bringing ancient wisdom into the modern world, particularly to help individuals live and die consciously. You will learn some of the shamanic end-of-life practices and rituals Kitty teaches to more actively support the dying and 5 practices to get to the end-of-life with no regrets. BIO: Kitty Edwards helps individuals on their journey to death to find the courage to release their fears. She is the executive director of The Living and Dying Consciously Project, a non-profit organization that is building a community of teachers who help individuals live consciously through all of life's passages with the knowledge that death is inevitable. It is our mission to bring ancient wisdom to the modern world by teaching techniques of holding sacred space, stepping into ceremony and practicing rites of passage. Kitty is a shamanic practitioner, public speaker, published author and master teacher. She has trained with medicine men and women in Southeast Asia, North and South America. She is a graduate of Core Shamanism designed by Sandra Ingerman and the Masters Program of the Light Body School of The Four Winds Society founded by Alberto Villoldo. Kitty is the co-founder of the No Regrets Project, currently teaches Dying Consciously: The Greatest Journey, the triad of workshops, Conscious Transitions: Living with Dying, Once Upon a Time and Gifts of Grief. She is the co-founder and serves on the Board of Directors of Conversations on Death in her home town of Boulder, Colorado. Kittys passion is to help people explore ways to consciously engage in the dying process, celebrate the accomplishment of navigating the journey to death, and have a greater sense of their own journey to come. Kitty will also provide a preview of her workshop "Death as a Rite of Passage" for the upcoming Afterlife Awareness Conference in St. Louis MO May 12-15, 2016. https://events.iteleseminar.com/index.php?eventID=77703096
